We read stock charts to be able to see a more clear picture of how a stock trades. That's why we use stock price indicators, drawings and charting patterns. But sometimes a chart is naturally distorted. That's when we have to use log scale. This video shows when, how and why to use log scale on a stock chart. This enables stock traders and investors to be able to get a true sense of how much a stock moved around in the past, i.e. the stock volatility, so they can make more informed decisions about the future.
